Great venue, good location, clean and tidy. The only downside was a lack of working plugs where the jug was located, however they were appreciative of having this pointed out. Definitely somewhere I would go back and stay. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try out the pool. More

It is amazing that such a small town between two major tourist destinations has such a wonderful hotel (conference centre, bar, restaurant...). Recent redecorations have made the place look stunning. I stayed in Ashburton only because of the earthquake damage in central Christchurch. The Hotel Ashburton is in the process of major refurbishment and I had one of the older rooms, which looked a little tired but was clean and comfortable none the less.
