We stayed at Rocky Mountain Chalets in March 2013. We really enjoyed our stay, the hosts were very helpful and accomodating, going over and beyond the call of duty. They even organised a babysitter so my husband and I could go out for dinner one evening. The Chalets were very clean and comfortable and all round great value for money.... More

We booked the presidential suite for two nights. We like a high standard when we go away as we have two small children. Was not worth the extra money, there were dead fly's everywhere, many of the dishes and pans needed to be cleaned before we used them, there was wood-chips/rubbish under and around the wood-basket and the fireplace was... The two of us stayed here for a weekend get away over New Years 2012/13 and could not have asked for anything better. The two bedroom chalet was top of the line - very well furnished and clean, a lovely shower with plenty of hot water and plenty of room to relax in. The hosts were very helpful and the... More

Stayed at the rocky mountain chalets for 1 night in sept. 2012 on our way through. The accomodation was well presented, perfectly clean and very comfortable. The location is a little bit outside of town just on he boarder of ohakune which was to too much trouble. In the morning we popped up the mountain and were allowed a late... More

I have stayed with Rocky Mountain chalets 7 years in a row on a regular 9 day break with friends, plus on other ad hoc weekends. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Ohakune. It's excellent value for money (especially if you book their 7 night special offer). The communal spa pools are great and the chalets are well... More

We stayed at the chalet for a week while we went skiing at Turoa (25min away) and Whakapapa (40min away). The chalet was great - 2 bedrooms with a good size kitchen, washing machine, dryer (this came in very handy as it rained a lot!), and nice lounge room. There's also 2 lovely spas shared between all the chalets -... More

My family including 3 children stayed in the Presidential Chalet for 3 nights, this contained a fire place & our own spa. We found the accommodation great for the family, it had 3 bedrooms, full size kitchen, lounge & laundry. The location is only short walk from Ohakune, we walked into town every night for a meal. This was our... More

We stayed here for a week to go snowboarding, with Turoa mountain only a half hour drive away. This place is very clean, really friendly staff and close to everything. Be prepaired though there is nothing much to do in Ohakune, the supermarket shuts at 7 and there is barely any shops. If you want nightlife, go to Queenstown. There... More
