We spent two nights in Okahune but only one night at the Manuka Lodge. We wish we had booked both nights there. It was a lovely B&B. We were there Christmas eve. On Christmas morning we were served a sumptuous champagne breakfast by Alan and Susie. Our room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. This is a new lodge and... More

Okahune is a great base for those wanting to do the Tongariro Crossing. It's a short drive to the national park with plenty of companies offering shuttle services. There are also a few restaurants and bars in town which is just a short walk away from Manuka Lodge which is well located in a quiet residential area overlooking farmland. The... More

This modern inn was built with comfort in mind...best bed of our trip and stylishly decorated. Breakfasts were delicious and the small ski town of Ohakune has wonderful restaurants and unbelievable natural beauty both in walking distance and easy driving distances. Alan & Susie provided transportation to and from the train and helped us in a variety of ways. More

Large room, extremely clean and comfortable. Definitely looks like one of the best around the area and it was definitely good value for what you get. Highly recommended especially you are doing the tongariro crossing - location is close enough and you can relax and enjoy after a day's hike! More

Lovely large lodge with comfortable rooms and great hosts. Breakfast is included in the price. Go for a walk down the street and you will see the magnificent Mt Ruapahu at your door step! Bearing Point restaurant is also in Ohakune; a little pricey but great food. More

We went for skiing on the weekend on our anniversary . I stayed with my wife for 2 nights. I worked in Hilton/Sheraton ..... etc. I find that this place is one most of the wonderful places ever. The lodge is NOT one of the yucky commercial lodges where you find lots of stains and marks on the beds and... More
