We loved the scenery around Topas Ecolodge. Hospitality was average, so don't expect too much from staff, most of them speak decent English. The ethnic minority ladies outside the ecolodge were very persistent and we were cursed for not buying things from them. We were disappointed with the set dinner, no other choice given and no price on the menu.... More

The hotel was a very nice hotel situated on a very high hill top. The surrounding area was very beautiful with villagers right outside the hotel area. I was a big fan of the fact that you felt far enough outside Sapa but were still close enough where it wasn't a pain to go to town. The management was very... More

We stayed for 3 days in April. We were met by the hotel minibus driver who then drove us and the other guests the hour and a half trip up to the hotel; towards the end the road got really bad but (other than feeling a little car sick) we spent the whole time looking out of the window at... More

We left Hanoi taking the Fansipan overnight train and slept all the way through. No issues but would suggest one books out the entire sleeping compartment to ensure privacy. Upon arriving we were greeted promptly by the Ecolodge driver. We had 3 other hotel guests join us in the van but soon, this journey became loud and raucous as our... More

We stayed three days at the Topas Ecolodge and found the place to be an incredible experience. You felt like you were placed at the top of the mountains as the clouds swirled by and when they were gone the terraced mountains glistened as the rice paddies filled with water. The scenery was incredible looking down the mountains which changed... More

During my travels in Vietnam I ended up visiting the lodge several times. Its such a nice and relaxing place to spend time that I couldn't resist the temptation. My last stay at the lodge was unfortunately only four nights but it was still considerably longer than most visitors I think. I cannot recommend this place enough. Its simply a... More

I've visited the Topas Ecolodge several times now and it continues to surprise me with its amazing location, friendly service and its absolutely healing ambience. The views are stunning, the surroundings full of interesting villages and local tribes. I have spend many hours just sitting outside the lodge main building drinking coffee, reading and taking in the views. The sunset... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The surroundings are stunning and the restaurant, lounge and outside areas are beautifully done and compliment the beautiful surroundings. We have been travelling for a few months now and it was the perfect way to relax. The cottages are clean and stylish and comfortable with lovely balconys overlooking the... More

We arrived after a wonderful Homestay with Tourguide "Chung" at a Red Dao Home in Sapa. Thats the best part about Topas Travel. WARNING! Dont stay at the Ecolodge! WARNING! As we arrived at 14:00 in Sapa from our two day trekking in Sapa including a Homestay at the Topas Travel Buro, we were very exhausted and just wanted to... More

Dear Spicol I have never tried that my staff call me because they are scared of a guest, I have never tried that other guests needed to help them, I have never heard from our manager, who you review by full name, that she was so afraid that the was shaking. I am sorry that you had a bad experience... More

It's sad to see such a beautiful hotel unable to live up to its potential. The road to the lodge is downright treacherous. The views are nice but to an extent, marred by construction in the valley below. Most unfortunate is the place is unmanaged. The only communication you will ever receive from the management is a letter from the... More
