We didn't stay at the lodge, but we took a half-day trip on the river with our guide Ian, mid-September. Although we lost our first "bite" to a seal, it wasn't long before we caught our limit. Ian cleaned our fish and sent us down the road to have it flash frozen so we could take them back to Vancouver...

We fished for most of the day - not one bite. Guide stayed very close to lodge, even when requested to move. I have been on many guided trips and this was one of the worst. No fish and poor service.
What a trip! We went clamming. We went sightseeing. We caught red salmon, king salmon and halibut! The rooms were great - full kitchen so we could cook our own meals. The guides were awesome. Maybe we were lucky but it seemed to me we were the only ones who caught king salmon on our trip b/c lots of people...
