The hotel and staff were excellent; knowledgeable, considerate, and accomodating. Looking forward to staying there again!

We (2 pax) reserved the non smoking suite for $ 159,-. The night before we had a beautiful suite in Fairbanks for just $ 89,- so we expected an even more beautiful suite in Glenallen. We were however very disappointed. The size of the suite was fine, but that was about all. The furniture is old fashioned, some parts need... More
The outside looks like an inviting Alaskan Lodge. I had previously read reviews about this place and had every intention to try to make it to at least Tok, Alaska but we really needed to stop to eat and rest. The outside looked so inviting! I paid $186.00+ for a Jacuzzi Suite? This was a regular size room with a... More
We were traveling from Fairbanks to Anchorage and after 6 long hours of drive contemplated staying at the Caribou Hotel. Luckily for us, we decided to try the restaurant prior to inquiring about a room for the night. We were greeted by a very lazy waiter who seemed more interested in his own convienance than allowing us to order what... More
This was the most dirty, disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The sheets had not been changed and there was hair and candy wrappers in the bed. The toilet had dried urine all over it. The water came out of the faucet a funny yellow/brown color. We complained to the front desk and were moved to another room, where... More
We stayed here for one night and wished we hadn't! The check in clerk seemed to care less if we were there or not. When I first opened the door, I thought "Oh, okay...not too bad" but then I flipped the light switch! What had impressed me at first was the new wood laminate flooring that had been installed in... We were a party of three traveling from Wasilla to Skagway. The only term I can use for this hotel is “barely adequate.” The room was small, the bathroom small, the furnishings were what you would expect at a very budget hotel – and you don’t pay budget prices. The carpet was old and tired, but the bed was comfortable.... More
I can only agree with the comments about this overpriced motel. The rooms are very basic. What was a bit disturbing was seeing the bible left open on the dresser. Candy with bible verses, numerous bibles dotted around the room. Blocking of CNN and MSNBC, only Fox News available. The menu in the restaurant-staffed by very young girls-had french toast... More
I stayed here for one night in May. The cost of the room was $148. ROOMS: Very small given the cost. The windows have no drapes---just window blinds that allow a lot of light to come in. This can make it difficult to sleep if you want it dark--especially during the long daylight hours. The furniture says "Value Village". It's... More
Prior post summed it up best in saying "this hotel was expensive ($150/night) and comparable to a Motel 6." Pretty much says it all. Small room, cheap furniture, and basic bathroom. But since they are the only motel in town, well, you have to pay dearly for the small room, cheap furniture, and basic furniture. For those wanting to save... More
