Skip and I enjoyed our overnight at the Carriage House. Wished we had had more time to spend in Girdwood. It was the best night sleep we had while touring Alaska. We slept late and woke up to find that Rachel had left us quiche, banana nut bread, fruit and juice. Clean and Comfortable. Good Price.

Our memory of our stay here will always be the bear that raided the yard at 5 AM. Thanks to the alarm dog (we loved her), the owner was able to discourage the bear. We were totally safe; it's just memorable. Our room was comfortable (especially the bed), but a bit small. There was a nice kitchen for our use.... More

A beautiful house in Girdwood. The rooms were kinda small, but had a private bathroom. Breakfast was really good, and the proprietor was very nice and helpful. Good location to the rest of Girdwood, not more than a half mile from the town center.

The room was comfortable and clean, but a little small with no real place to put a suitcase and 2 backpacks. Owner was nice but didn't even see her until the next morning; her friend happened to be there when we arrived so we knew where to go. Breakfast was nice in the morning.
