I stayed in a dorm in mid January. Perfect mix of fun and comfort. Very clean, comfy beds, staff are genuinely kind and do everything they can to help (including making sure my airport taxi arrived at 3am). Nice pool table and common room. Fun atmosphere yet curfew was observed by guests and enforced by staff to allow a quiet... More

This is a very comfortable, spacious, friendly hostel around 10 mins from downtown San Jose by taxi, close to the university and San Pedro Mall. You feel safe walking around the area and there is a great supermarket, ATM and places to eat nearby. The rooms are large and comfortable, the staff are very helpful and knowledgable (they have all... More

We arrived late and only stayed one night in Bekuo. The room was not that nice, but clean. The staff was very nice and helpful planing our travel in Costa Rica. Great breakfast! and nice common areas. More

We arrived to the Hostel late at night. We chose it for our first night in Costa Rica based on reviews and the photos on the hotel's website. From my experience in the past, hotel's with modern sites are quite good. How wrong was I. We are simple travelers that require only 3 things from a place: 1. The be... More

I just stayed for a night during my trip in December. Karen was very helpful and gave a warm welcome. Hilda was great in providing me information for buses going to Manuel Antonio and also places to look around. She had a warm smile always. The place is nice and very friendly and is a good pit stop for people... More

I have always read reviews on Trip Advisor, but never have I written one, so... here goes. While in San José, I stopped by Bekuo for one night, but after the great breakfast with butterfly pancakes made by a crazy guy in a green hat and alligator tail, I decided to stay for a few days more. Being in Bekuo... More

We Stayed here for 20 days and had a great time. Everyone was very helpful with information and they make you feel at home there. I have stayed at many different types of hostels, and you must remember the difference between a hostel and a hotel, when I grew up in a family of 6 I had to share a... More

Having read some good reviews and the good write up in the Lonely Planet I was a little disappointed. The staff and the owner were very friendly but the beds bedding and coverings on the common room furniture all had that dank musty smell that said "please please wash me". It shouldn't be that hard. It was also very cold... More
