This is a typical Spanish style house, built into the hillside, with lots of stairs and a wonderful higgledy piggledy layout. Anita is a lovely host, making all the jams and syrups for use at breakfast. There are 3 beautiful cats if you are lucky enough to meet them. We slept well though occasionally woken in the night by the... More

I have some mobility issues. Before I booked my reservation, Anita warned me that there would be a "few steps" to get to our cottage (which I can do). Instead there were several, all going down, and lugging a suitcase was impossible for me and difficult for my traveling companion. Upon arrival, Anita handed us 5 keys--one for securing your... More

These people were unsuitable for traveling in Costa Rica. After communicating that they should arrive before dark they arrived at 10 pm. Roseanne{s partner was sick and pooped in the bed. They brought tons of luggage and expected me (a 64 year old woman with some health problems of my own) to carry their things to their room. Which I... More

On my fifth trip to the Osa, I decided to make detour through Manuel Anotnio and spent two nights at Anita's. The place is charming, spacious, comfortable, and has an amazing view. Anita's recommendations for recreation and dining were excellent. She arranged for us to go zip lining and steered us to the best ribs I've ever eaten (slow cooked... More

At $50 you are getting a steal of a deal to have breakfast and have an incredible view of the Manuel Antonio National Park. Incredible view! Especially room #2. The buildings are all white with curved staircases and beautiful tropical flowers all around. We felt like we were in Greece. Everything was so beautiful. There were bats that make their... More

This was one of the best experiences of our lives. Anita showed us so many wonderful places. Paradise has a name now!!!! Definately need to go back and explore more. Usually when we travel I get to chip and paint aboard our sailboat. This time it was just pure pleasure with very good friends. I highly recommend a stay. It's... More

My wife and I stayed in Manuel Antonio (MA) with Anita for 3 nights. The highlight of our stay was the Howler monkeys that came through each morning around dawn making the eerie sound you would expect from a much larger and more dangerous critter. One morning we actually got photos of them in the early dawn light. Our room... More

Anita and her staff took great care of us while we stayed in the Casa Buena Vista. The hotel is secure, has an amazing view, and the A/C is a life-saver on the humid Manuel Antonio coast. :) Breakfast each morning was made to order (we loved the french toast), and most of the fruit and juices are from plants... We stayed 2 nights at Casa Buena Vista with two of our friends. My boyfriend and I had the bedroom up the hill and the view was fabulous. The room was beautiful and clean and the bed was very confortable. We even had a fridge and a kitchen sink in the room. After more than 2 months on the road... More

My friend and I stayed here with the lovely Anita for a few nights in June 2011. She was welcoming, accommodating and made our stay very comfortable. It's conveniently located (within walking distance to the main road which has plenty of restaurants) and is close to the beach as well! Breakfast every morning made our stay that much better -... My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Buena Vista for six nights in the low season. We both agree that it was our favorite place we stayed in CR and we can't wait to return! The accommodations are clean and in a beautiful location. We stayed in Room #3, which was the private cabin. The cabin was rustic and had... More
