I loved my stay! My cabin was beautiful and I appreciated getting to walk through the forest a little to get to it. I made sure to visit all the cabins to see their uniqueness. Getting to fall asleep to the sounds of nature is such a treat. The food was great. I only eat fish and otherwise I eat... More

I recently spent the 2nd week of May at Danta Corcovado Lodge, and I had an absolutely wonderful time there. I especially appreciated the fact that they have 4 kilometers of well-marked (if sometimes challenging) trails on the property (which adjoins Corcovado National Park) through what I found to be the most beautiful rainforest I'd ever seen (and I've been... Out of the way, out of the ordinary place on a dirt road in the jungle, this unusual spot offers beautiful jungle trails and villas isolated along some of those trails. Remarkable wood and ceramic constructions in the villas, including a panther holding the showerhead, chairs made from the trunks of trees, bedsteads made to look like wooden spiderwebs. Meals... We stayed in one of their standard rooms (rana room) and were beyond delighted with the handmade furniture and one-of-a-kind outdoor bathroom. Food was excellent and staff were very accommodating when I explained I couldn't eat dairy. The bar is open throughout the day if you want to cool down with a cold cerveza or care for a glass of... We, a couple from Germany, stayed 2 days/nights in Danta Lodge in March 2013. Originally we planned to stay 3 nights but we shortened the stay since it was disappointing. The area of the lodge is nice, also the restaurant/bar area. Everything is out of wood and spacious. Food is good. We had a bungalow, very spacious. But the lodge... More

If you don't want creature comforts in 100 degree heat this place is for you. Although the staff was friendly and the food good, the accommodations are spartan. There are no comfortable chairs on the property unless you are over six feet tall. We found the heat oppressive with no relief. Be sure to ask for an extra floor fan... More

We stayed for 1 night in this lovely lodge and felt like we were sleeping in the middle of the rain forest -- and actually, we were! We stayed in a little bungalow in the forest with no walls or windows (there were screens, so it was pretty much insect and critter-free). The wood carved furniture is simple and beautiful... More

Well, perhaps not way in the jungle! There are residences nearby but the lodge has a large holding of property laced with trails that take you into the "jungle". This is also a starting off place for trekking into the park, which was a little beyond our physical ability. Shortly after we arrived, the resident sloth dropped out of a... More

OMG, the most amazing experience of my life! I have to say I wasn't prepared for having no windows or doors to open and close and only having netting as a covering around the structure. I stayed here 4 nights Feb 9 - 12 and just being isolated and hearing all the birds and other animals around you is amazing.... More

We stayed 3 nights here during our visit to the Osa. Highly recommended. The lodge is very neat and the food is nothing short of amazing. We bungalows are creative and comfortable and the bathroom is something to behold. So much fun! Highly recommend a trip over into Puerto Jimenez for dinner and some sightseeing. The birding in the area... More
