We booked this hotel last minute through tourist information in San Jose. We were looking for basic affordable getaway and were not disappointed. For the rack rate of $90 including taxes we got a spacious room with lovely private oceanview balcony. Since this was the original hotel in Manuel Antonio, it sports the chunky dark furnishings from that era which... More

We stayed her in March 2011 2rooms for a family of 4. Rooms were nice but bathrooms could have been more spacious and better vented. Very close to beach and National Park(less than 5 minutes) Free breakfast buffet was excellent and had many choices. Grounds were well maintained.Neach towels were provided but we did pay a small fee to have... More

The girlfriend and I stayed here a few weeks ago and we were looking for an amazing beach front access and a simple hotel with a view, and boy did we find it. The front desk gentlemen were very helpful; signed us up for an "interbus", spoke great English and WIFI was available, along with a computer by the front... More

The hotel is right by the beach and the national park, it has a nice garden and some rooms have their balcony with an amazing ocean view! Each room has a cable tv, big shower, two double beds that were very comfortable and a/c and a private big balcony.in our room the wifi signal was only in the balcony but... More

I stayed at this hotel while visiting the Manuel Antonio national park. Location: The location is as good as can be for he/she who plans to visit the park. The park entrance is across the street. Furthermore the hotel is at the end of the street meaning that there are few disturbances (e.g. traffic) to speak of. The hotel has... More

This hotel has the best location to the beach, shopping and restaurants most within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean with a great fan and air conditioning. The hotel also has a restaurant next to it. The food was good and the owners work there (spectacular and friendly people). You can catch a bus every 15 minutes right... More

I stayed at this hotel for the second time in my lfe and found it unchanged except for age. It offers clean rooms with aging furnishings, a/c, a restaurant, and exceptional location across the street from the beach and adjacent to the park. Carlos, the manager is very nice as is Frank at reception. It's not a bad value hotel... More

We found this hotel after walking all throughout the small central location on Manuel Antonio Park. Here they have places at rates for backpackers, budget, and $100 and up. After looking all around and asking to see many rooms we decided to stay here. The location is right at the park exit (which you can enter if you have tickets),... More

I just read a review that made me smile. Aparently someone booked a backbacker room and wasn't happy with it. Don't rent a backbacker room if you are going to be easily grossed out. That just comes with backbacking territory. THIS PLACE IS GREAT! My boyfriend and I just returned from a CR trip and we stayed here three nights.... More
