We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2012 on a tour with Caravan Tours. We were a little apprehensive because the reviews made this place seem really rustic. The cabins were clean and comfortable with nice privacy curtains. There was enough roof overhang to keep even the hardest rain out and the ceiling fan kept the room comfortable. There... More

A beautiful piece of property, surrounded by lush gardens. The rooms are cabin style and private. For those looking for convenience this is not the place, no tv's, phones or Internet in the rooms. Wifi is available near the reception area. The only real downside here is that it is very wet and musty, and there are limited activities and... More

A very remote location with beautiful grounds surrounding the duplexes with rocking chairs on the porch. There were beautiful flowers and butterflies everywhere and even a banana tree next to my porch. It was a 2 hour boat ride on the river to get here. My room was comfortable but lots of dust on the furniture, etc. maybe due to... More

I stayed this lodge for two nights. The wild life is great and there are a lot animals can be found on this island. It felt so very close to the nature. The lodges set up is quite cosy except every two room are open or joint on the ceiling so I could hear the next door neighbor snoring at... More

We were on a tour with a group of ten. In order to get to this lodge you travel by boat for 2 hours on this beautiful river. Our rooms were spacious and clean, but what surprised us was there were only screens on the windows, no glass. It is rather warm and humid there, but not unbearable. The nights... More

Spent towo nights at the lodge and found it to be top of class. Facilities were well appointed for a remote lodge setting. Pool and bar area were very nice. Our room was immaculate and no signs of mold or bugs. Rooms very simple, but very nice with very comfortable bed. Well constructed. Very tough in a rainforest. Staff was... More

Stayed for 2 nights in this rustic Lodge. No A/C or glass on your cabin windows. Only a ceiling fan helps to make room bearable at night. Fan doesn't help at all during the day. If you just come mentally prepared for and outdoor "camping" experience, you will be OK. Now, with the worst of it out of the way....The... More

We stayed here with a Caravan Tour and had a really nice 2 night stay. The rooms are basic but very clean and the beds are comfortable. There is no A/C but the nights were just fine with the overhead fans. Nice pool area. We enjoyed our time at the bar (what are the chance of that?) at days end.... More

We had two wonderful days watching the wildlife as we sailed down the canals it was so relaxing. The boatman and our guide were absolutely brilliant at spotting the wildlife we would have missed so much if we had attempted to do this trip on our own. The grounds of the lodge are lovely and kept tidy but are still... More

We booked direct with Pachira lodge and they were very prompt picking up and dropping back to our hotel as arranged. We booked the 2 night stay rather than 1 night and am glad we did. Tortuguero was one of about 4 national parks we visited whilst in costa rica and I think it was the best. We saw the... More
