“This is STILL one of my favorite places in San Jose!”

Since our last visit, the Cariari has overhauled the reception area to include comfy guest seating, a computer nook, and a coffee shop called the Deck Cafe. “Beenaround enough”

This hotel is only ten minutes away from the San Jose airport, so was perfect for our overnight stay before joining our National Geographic tour group. We were welcomed at the desk with our key and a huge, still warm chocolate chip cookie. Room was spacious and clean. Dinner and breakfast were good.

This Hotel looks nice, but expect AC not working, and no one cares. I was waiting for the technician for 2 hours, and then they swiped filters from another room. AC Filters are so dirty... “Good property to stay slightly out of the main city”

Very nice property. Located near a market, so you can get some supplies reasonable. Also some pretty good restaurants within walking distance & a mall. Cab ride to downtown San Jose was about 20 US with tip. Breakfast buffet was excellent! Advise to NOT exchange money at hotel--rate not good. Couldn't get Internet to work in rooms for some reason... The hotel has been an icon of San José for many years. Well maintained, nice atmosphere and beautiful swimming pool area. The service is really first class and guests are nurtured with a full caring attitude throughout the facility.

“God Rooms and Service. Poor Food. Transportation company are crooks!”

Don't expect anything about food quality. It is overprices and really bad. The burger is half the size of the bun. The Calamari are clustered with onion rings. The salads are soggy with dressing and very small. The worse part is dealing the transportation company that handles the "free" shuttle. What a hassle and pain. they are crooks!!!!

“Very disappointed with the amenities of the room, very poor internet service”

The internet service is very very poor. Only the lobby has service. The bathroom amenities were very poor. The hotel is 20 minutes from San Jose. A $20 taxi ride each way. The hotel restaurant is not bad.
