It's very hard to describe this hotel, as it's different than any other place we've ever stayed. It's actually like staying in a wildlife/bird sanctuary. The balconies overlook the animal habitats and the pools and the lush trees and landscaping. The room itself is just phenomenal! Our room had a king-sized bed and had a wooden stool on each side... Though probably the most romantic honeymoon destination on the planet, as a single, I could not have dreamed of a more spectacular, spiritually fullfilling experience. The pictures in promotional material portray the natural beauty of the property, but the true beauty of the place is in it's people. As one who has travelled the world, I can testify that the folks... More

My boyfriend and I traveled to Costa Rica in March (2012) for a one week vacation, and the Peace Lodge was our first destination. It is probably the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel grounds are amazing and make you feel as if you are in the rain forest. The room was spacious and equally amazing... More

We stayed at the Peace Lodge for our 10 year anniversary and had a great time! The rooms are gorgeous and of course the grounds are, too. They have thought of everything to make your stay as carefree as possible. It is so private, too. There is a hot tub on the balcony and at night you can go soak... More

We recently stayed at Peace Lodge. It had been a long time since I had visited the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and our first stay at the hotel. The rooms themselves are beautiful, well thought out, and fully equipped. The grounds are impeccable. The staff is great. Loved the trout pond, hiking around the property and the 'white magic' waterfalls... More

My husband, myself and two kids visited Costa Rica 3 years ago and stayed at their sister property, the Springs Resort and Spa. We loved every moment of that stay but at the time, the Peace Lodge was still closed for renovations due to the earthquake. We vowed on our next trip to visit Peace Lodge and we were so... More

We finished our week long stay in CR with 2 nights at The Peace Lodge. I booked 2 deluxe adjoining rooms for my family of 5 including 3 boys ages 10, 7, 4. We all thought this was the highlight of our trip! A small boutique-esque hotel with only 17 rooms, it is a truly spectacular place set in the... More

This top of the line, fantasy-like, unique lodge is a treat for anyone, whether homeymoiners, families, or singles. The main guest rooms are Andirondack chic, with canopied rough wood 4 poster beds, individual fireplaces, outdoor hot tub for 2, and all the modern amenities to boot. My bathroom was straight out of a Hobbit fantasy, with a waterfall separate shower,... More

We just finished an eight day trip to Costa Rica. The Peace Lodge was one of three hotels we stayed in while in Costa Rica and it was definitely a highlight. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was plenty of space for my husband, me, and our three young children. We loved having so many activities on site and... More
