My husband and I toured Costa Rica for our honeymoon in March/April 2011 and this was our last stop. From the second we arrived (after a really long journey) we were made to feel so welcome, the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Make sure you get involved in some of the activities...neither of us had been... More

I am delighted to read that you fully enjoyed Costa Rica on such a special occasion. It certainly sounds like you enjoyed many wonderful experiences. Thank you for letting us cap your adventure with extra-detailed pampering. Our horseback riding tour and canopy zip-line adventures are certainly exhilarating and provide unique perspectives of our stunning natural surroundings. It is regrettable that... More

My husband and I stayed at Punta Islita on the second leg of our 1st anniversary trip and it's truly an amazing hotel. We stayed in a suite (#23 to be exact) and absolutely loved it. The room was so spacious and you can't beat having your own private patio with a hammock overlooking the most beautiful scenery. We spent... More

Here at Hotel Punta Islita for a wedding. The staff could not have been more delightful and friendly. Though a bit of a journey to get to, the hotel itself is lovely and very well maintained with a warm and welcoming staff.

My wife and I spent 17 days in Costa Rica for our honeymoon and Punta Islita was a wonderful finish for an amazing adventure... At the beginning when we arrived (Oct 2011) we saw that the pool next the the dinning area was under constructions and we were kinda of disappointed the nobody mentioned it. The noises for the work... More

My wife and I booked the "adventure package" with three nights in "el Silencio" and three nights in "Punta Islita." The price for these six nights was $2400. We were told transfer between the hotels and airport (San Jose) is not included in the price, and would be an additional $800. With these numbers, we were paying ~$500 per night.... More

After staying at a very nice place in another part of Costa Rica, we were a little weary of how much better our "second hotel" would be. That feeling increased as we deplaned from the airstrip and got in the transportation van next to a field of cows. As we went through winding dirt roads the uneasy feeling did not... More

My daughter and I stayed here last month and could not have been happier. The place is so beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful. Marvin was great. Every morning while my daughter slept in I laid in the hammock read and listened to the waves. Just stunning views, and so private. Just wonderful. The food is delicious, very fresh, and... More

A truly remarkable property. 1st class amenities with a staff that is friendly and service oriented. The food is true to the culture and prepared with the freshest ingredients. The seafood is especially good with an abundance of variety and style. Lots of native wildlife on property including iguanas, deer, and parrots (our wake up call each morning). The zip... More

The hotel is on 1200 acres of a mango plantation and perfectly isolated between the mountains and the sea. It is luxury at its finest and the service from all the staff especially Luis was first rate. I would suggest it to anyone looking for an incredible hotel with magnificent views and activities and service that is second to none.

Punta Islita is just what we were looking for when our family wanted to visit the Pacific beach area after exploring the volcano and rain forest areas. We didn't want to be in a Four Seasons and feel removed from the true country feeling, yet we enjoy fine amenities and great service. We found this hotel carefully balances top amenities... More
