We stayed in late April our last night at Poas Volcano Lodge. Fantastic views, outstanding accommodations and service, delicious food, great bedding, comfortable bed, elegant yet inviting public areas..and more. We loved the whole experience! The Poas Volcano Lodge is not a loud or adventurous place for a party. It's a quiet, tranquil cool mountaintop lodge for walking gentle trails. Beautiful lodge, lovely rooms (we had junior suites) with coffee/thee in the room. Great bathroom. Great dinner and good breakfast. Very close to Poas Volcano and Waterfall Gardens. Waterfall gardens is ok to visit, a littelbit "touristic", but there we saw a least some tucans !

A little out of the way on a farm, Poas Volcano Lodge is an amazing retreat. It's been completely rebuilt since the 2009 earthquake by an incredible architect with a sense of all natural. This hotel is near the national park, (approx. 15 km) and withinin a stunning location with views right on the volcano. The hotel has a very nice and comfty bibliotheque, a new TV room and a nice big room with a pool table and a fireplace. The food (dinner and breakfast) were great. All in, absolutely worth a stop.
