Again, we were only here for 2 nights on a Costa Rican tour, but everyone wanted to change the plan and stay here for many more days. It could not have been better - beautiful grounds with all sorts of birds and monkeys, etc. The main pool was fed by the water from the volcano springs, so it was so... More

Breathtaking view of Arenal(when you can see it!) and very helpful friendly staff.Grounds immaculately maintained and good for birdwatching.A bit "americanised" Biggest negative is the music in the restaurant. As one guest had commented this is noise pollution particularly in such beautiful surroundings. If you want to listen to "Night Fever" or Elton John played on Andean pan pipes this is the... The rooms were great, the showers were beautiful with a skylight, volcanic stone wall and tropical plants. The grounds were gorgeous, everything was very clean. The view of the volcano was usually shrouded in clouds and we had quite a bit of rain while we were there. Unfortunately the food was not as wonderful as the hotel and grounds. The... More

I arrived after having been on the road for 12 hours. (it is a 5 to 6 hour drive from San Jose). Loved the drive...saw small towns and countryside. It was dark when I got out of the van but the lobby was well lighted and a DEELICIOUS drink awaited. The staff were very outgoing and ready to do anything... More

The grounds of Arenal Springs are exquisite and beautifully maintained. The multiple pools/hot springs are set to differing temperatures so that one can select varying levels of heat. The casitas have generously-sized rooms and wonderful garden-like baths. Take the time to ask for a casita with only one bed and some soft seating, as we got a two-bed room and... More

The rooms are nice enough, in duplexes, each with a nice view of the volcano (when the clouds permit), a pleasant walk from the pools (including hot from the volcano), dining room, and bar. Golf carts are on call for those who can't or don't want to walk, although the phones were out, so we could get a ride only... More

At one level this is a good quality package tour hotel and a bit of a sausage factory with little room for the personal touch. That said the grounds are wondeful and ideal for bird and plant lovers. The cabins are well equipped and laid ou sensitely over the large site. The pools are good even if the hot pools... More

The resort has lovely little attached bungalows with beautiful views of the volcano. The grounds are amazing with flowers all around and tropical trees. There are pretty pools and a hot pool. Our only complaint, after the first night we told the managment that the air conditioner dripped all night on me. They said that they had fixed it, the... More

During our recent 3 day stay we were surprised by how much we felt like we were at a nice off beach condo resort in Hawaii. The staff was helpful, friendly and the facility was in excellent shape. That said, I would hope that the management will soon improve their food service. The breakfast buffet was good - buffet style.... More

We (2 male travelers) were extremely impressed with this hotel. It is much larger than the photos of the grounds appear, with dozens of condo-like rooms spread in what can be compared to a planned community (or retirement village). Luggage transported by golf cart! Buffet breakfast was ample, with omelette station, fruits, etc. Pool and hot springs were very nice... More
