My boyfriend and I stayed at this wonderful hotel the first night we arrived in Costa Rica and again the night before we flew home. It was close to the airport but much more charming than any of the box hotels we passed. We were greeted by Ann Cabezas who, as others have reported, was wonderful and had great suggestions... More

(note: our last trip to costa rica was 2years prior. Website won't allow me to use an earlier date.) My husband is costa rican and we traveled to costa rica often. We were always looking for a better hotel close to the airport because we would always arrive late and didn't want to make the 4 hour drive at that... More

My husband and I chose this Hotel because it was near the airport. What a find. We were greeted my a delightful women named Ann who has just taken over the Hotel. Ann is from the South in the US. She knows what true Southern Hospitality is and has extended her charm to her visitors at the Vina Romantica. She... More

Sherry, the owner, was quite hospitable and made my stay very pleasant. As an American, I appreciated having a host who could give me the inside story on local culture but still relate it to my background. The location of the hotel was perfect for me -- close to the San Jose airport, on the way to the primary areas... More

For family vacation we rented the whole house for 2 periods, electricity was extra. Manager/owner was out of country (known to us) & out of contact w local part-time caretaker more than we were informed. Needs more help. We had to do most things for ourselves which we did without complaint. We're experienced, bilingual travelers. Good: beds & bathrooms, part-time... More

It’s very interesting how money can cloud someone’s review. When I questioned this about their stay they reported a wonderful trip with one exception being a visit to a hospital. Their comments said my staff was very attentive and cared for them by driving them to the hospital, to the pharmacy and taking some family members to the airport. They... More

We stayed here after spending 10 days in Jaco, the night before our flight left to go back to the states. The hotel was hard to find--luckily we took a cab from our rental car company. We almost drove up there and we would have never found it. Make sure you have good directions and a map! Sherry was very... More

This B&B within 15 minutes of San Jose Int. airport is a nice respite from the usual airport hotels. It has rooms with a volcano view, a flowery, viney yard with plenty of hummingbirds to watch, excellent food and service, and a good Tican restaurant just a leisurely 15 minute walk away.

We stayed here our first and second night of our trip around Costa Rica as it was only about 20 minutes by car from the airport. The area surrounding the hotel is nothing special and our first impressions were not great, but it is actually a quite nice base with a restaurant just a 5 minute walk away with great... More

I chose this hotel based on the reviews I read on TripAdvisor and so feel the need to report back so that others will consider staying here. We spent the first night of our trip here, coming direct from the airport. It is extremely convenient to the airport but feels like it is a world away up in the hills... More

We chose this B&B for its location, close enough to San Jose International Airport that we would not have to drive too far after our flight from the U.S., and yet far enough to be away from the city. It was perfectly situated. The room was very clean, and breakfast was wonderful. Sherry was a very gracious host. This is... More
