This is for the Great Tang Hotel near Automotive City, Shanghai (near the end of Metro Line 11). Make sure you get the correct hotel. There are multiple Great Tang Hotels. About 4 or 5 years old. Clean, quiet, good value. Chinese food was good. North American food was OK.

Soiled carpets in rooms. Dilapitaed furniture in lobby. Phone malfunctioned; kept ringing all night. Poor service. Don't cash travellers' cheques. Can't give simple instructions on how to travel within Shanghai.
