Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for a University study tour. The room was clean, however there was an odd smell coming from the bathroom. Im fairly certain there was a brothel or some kind of mens club in the basement. Wifi was included though and the buffet breakfast was worth it.

Hotel needs reservation urgently; very old and dirty carpets; part of suspended ceiling fell down; dirty curtains, no non-smoking rooms available at check-in. Staff could barely speak English. WiFi was extremely slow and had several breakdowns

I had to stay here as part of a study tour. I am probably used to a 4-5 star standard and this is a 3 at best. To make your stay more enjoyable ask for a room on the non-smoking 8th floor. The higher floors are also the renovated floors. I stayed here twice over a two week period with study. The first time I was put in a smoking room on the 4th floor. It was disgusting as a non-smoker. There was a iron scorch mark on the carpet as I walked in. There were multiples of condoms in the bathroom including a vibrating condom. The hotel has what appears to be a house of disrepute in the basement, maybe some rooms are hired on the hour? The bed was like sleeping on a table. On my return I paid my extra 100RMB a night for the 8th floor (once I knew this was an option - might have been helpful to know on initial check in?). Much better. Comfortable bed, newer room and only the occasional waft of smoke from the stairwell. The English of the staff is minimal as an FYI. Usual for China. Wifi is cheap but sloooooowwwww. On the positive side: the rooms are clean and kept that way, there are lots of great little food and beauty shops around and it is a 5 minute walk to the train station. Would not stay here by choice as I am happy to pay for better. But for those on a strict budget, it might work for you.

I stayed here for two week and i have to stay I have never been more dissatisfied with a hotel. The room I stayed in had a very smelly bathroom. Like the drainage was not good and I felt like I was sleeping next to a sewerage the whole time. The beds were too hard and very uncomfortable. The carpet was filthy. The wifi in the room never worked properly. It drops in and out and made it very hard to get any work done. The gym was too small. And the staff were extremely unattentive. I did not feel welcomed during check in and were unable to understand English very well.

Very hard beds, carpet is very old and wifi is below average. I stayed here with a large group of 50-60 people. Some people didnt even have a shower in their room. We only stayed here because we had too, I would imagine there is better places to stay out there.
