Rooms are quite small, carpet is dirty, bathroom not really clean. Breakfast is more for asians. Checkin was fast, checkout took some time, only able to issue a chinese invoice. The location of this hotel is good as it is an easy walk to the Bund or a cheap taxi ride to most areas. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. However the facilities definitely left much to be desired. We had paid for an upgraded room which I would not recommend doing for the price paid.... More

Place was ok 10-15minutes walk to the bund, stayed 3 nights there, Its just that they are now ranovating the hotel so 26th. floor is unaccessible, can't see the view of the bund. Would rate it a three to four star. We did get told that the reason for there being no hot water on the 19th floor was because mayby they couldnt pump it up that high? We stayed a few days just before this on the 14th floor with no problem. Doors had very strong return spring allowing a noisy closure.
