- St Regis Hotel Shanghai

A very good hotel in Pudong. The breakfast in the business lounge was very good. Pool was a bit small. Room was large and comfortable.
Everything looks like it's been recently renovated. My room was big, had a good sized desk and a modern office chair. Internet over the cable was fast (except for the websites blocked in China, of course). There was a big screen TV with a good choice if channels. The bathroom was also very nice with a modern shower (with one...

Service is excellent most of the time, minus a couple of incidents that spoil their name.
A couple of waiters at breakfast were perpetually yawning away, practically slided the coffee pot over like a streetside eatery boy. We could not get good information from the conceirge about the places we want to visit as well, which was disappointing.

Stayed for 5 nights on business. Big hotel that was a St Regis. Not in the heart of Shanghai - the local area is more traditional but not that far from the Bund, an easy taxi ride. We stayed here for one night en route to Australia. We have visited the hotel on a previous occasion, but not as guests. I have had the fortunate occasion of staying here several times in the past and it just keeps getting better and better.
From your initial approach, there are the helpful and so-friendly bell men.
The front desk staff is incredible with language issues, local questions and money exchange.
Loved our amazing butlers - fast and totally broke any language and...

Having stayed many times in St regis Singapore, one of its newest properties, we expected St Regis Shanghai to be of similar standard. It was not to be.
We booked a total of 5 rooms for 4 nights, thinking that we would be able to enjoy the luxury of St Regis hotels.
The hotel was old, i was told later...

I arrived here in the middle of March 2011 for a two-night stay, when it was still under the St Regis brand. I reserved the Deluxe King room directly on the hotel website. After taking the Maglev from Shanghai’s Pudong airport, I took a taxi from the Longyang Road station, which was the terminus station for the Maglev. The taxi...

The breakfast is nice, lots of variety and food is good. The dining room is nice, quiet and not crowded. The Italian restaurant...
