We stumbled upon the Andaz through Jetsetter while in Shanghai needing to make a hotel move. Not yet familiar with the Andaz concept, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was Hyatt's version of a local, boutique hotel, designed to make you feel more at home vs. at a large hotel chain. We loved every bit of our stay... More

Finally! A Shanghai hotel I look forward to returning to! After many stays at places like Le Meridien, JW Marriott, Intercontinental (Pudong and Puxi), etc. I've found my home in Shanghai. Stylish, superb accommodations with the service to match. Complimentary coffee (actually GOOD coffee) and muffins in the lounge in the morning, complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages in the room,... More

One of the many new, high-end hotels in Shanghai that has opened in the past year. I rate: 10/10 for hotel location and convenience 9/10 for linens/towels quality, XL King room (incl bathroom and closet space), bed 8/10 for service 6/10 for food quality/selection at breakfast and afternoon tea Received all the Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond member benefits without any... I don't want to repeat earlier - and excellent - reviews, so let me just say that I agree with all the positive feedback this hotel has garnered. I stayed there two days for business. The staff was friendly and competent. The room was cosy and original. I especially loved the bathroom which is made to look a little bit... More

Stayed here for business over 3 nights. This was a different hotel from what I usually get when I travel for business. It has a modern, artsy vibe; perhaps a trifle trilfe pretentious, but the difference from your usual boring business hotel was refreshing for me. I liked the local art work based upon Chinese proverbs hung along the corridors... More

Date of Stay: March 1-4,2012 Reservations: Goldpassport Website Room Type: Andaz Large Loyalty Card: Goldpassort A short caveat : I got the advance purchase rate early in January and was surprised when I checked later that month that the rates went down. I was expecting that since it was an advance purchase rate, it would have been the lowest possible... More

This is probably one of the most trendy hotels I have ever stayed in. It was a little embarrassing though to ask the room service guy where the light switches where (hidden the bedside table) which control the mood lighting of the room and the electronic blinds. The toilet was also the most advanced I used and automatically opened on... More

Amazing rooms, super cool decor, multi color bathroom in granite with LED lighting, great location across from M2 (for the coolest and prettiest people in town) and near Xintiandi. Great hotel. Excellent staff. Great breakfast. Nothing bad to say. I loved my stay here. Wow.

Stayed one night in mid-Febraury 2012. First impression was that the hotel is a bit empty as the G/F cafe in the middle of the lobby was deserted. Service was good but something should be done to make the whole place more lively. Room was nice and hip with great view of Xintendi but felt a bit basic and not... More
