I will be back, great Shanghai neighborhood. Even a Starbucks couple blocks away. Restaurants, bars, shopping abound. My room is on third floor, interior is old china while bathroom is very well updated. Staff is very helpful, they do not speak english so need to make communication simple.

On the positive side, good central location (10/15min to subway but very easy with taxi), the decoration was quite traditional and original. I stayed at the Ketangjian for over three weeks and had a thouroughly enjoyable stay, as did my colleagues who were there for some of the time. The staff are very friendly and helpfull and the resturant serves the best Thai food I have tasted in Shanghai. The location is perfect for walking and exploring the French Concession District

From the moment we stepped inside the hotel we felt at home. The staff was wonderful and treated us like family. The rooms were neat and clean and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious food and were acocmodating of our needs. This hotel and the staff made our stay in Shanghai very special.
