They blocked 1.5 times of the total room rate as a gurantee. Keep this in mind if you travel on a tight budget. There is a very nice antique bazar very close to the hotel. Don't miss it. Hint: If you liked something don't get excited. You can find it un other shops too. The location is very good too.

The staff was courteous, my colleague forgot his watch in the shower when we checked out and by the time we figured out and called the hotel they told its safe with them in the reception. I had a 4days business trip in Shanghai and it's actually a service apartment with all in-room facilities like fridge/washing machine/bathtub/shower. it'll be more than convenient for long stay. Only thing is, there's no such hotel breakfast service, instead can find many restaurants outside within 5mins walking. very close to Xintiandi and bund

Had a very good stay at Fraser Residence. The room was refurbished, very new. Had a living room area, with even a washer - dryer. Lovely bathroom, very smart. Great bed in the bedroom, quiet. Also nice gym and in a nice location close to metro and one of the busy shopping area.
