This is the first time to Funky fish with my partner, even though the accommodation is pretty basic everything else certainly makes up for it all! We had a awesome time! Staff, management and the whole vibe they create is great. I have to admit being a frequent travelor to Fiji, Fiji just seems to never disappoint me! I would... More

I stayed there with my friend on a surf trip and thought it might be ok after reading some of the reviews. However it is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. Terrible location, trapped on a tidal grey mud beach. No where else to walk to or eat and drink. Surf trips way over priced. FJ$90... More

My boyfriend & I stayed at the Funky Fish as an alternative to the high priced Tavarua Resort. The surfbreaks have been opened up and no longer are you required to pay such high rates to go surfing. There was also kiting too. Not fancy but definetely a great value so one cannot complain. Food was good for the price.... More

We stayed at the Funky Fish Resort in August 2011. We caught the Malolo Cat from Port Denaru and were dropped off at Musket Cove. We were picked up by the resort boat and 10 minutes later we were checking into our beach front bure. The Funky Fish is a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Our room... More

We stayed at funky dish for 10 days and enjoyed it very very much. The staff are amazingly friendly and don't push expensive trips down tour throat like other resorts, and always see that you are looked after. We even went up to the owners house to watch the rugby. The only downside we had was that if you don't... More

Had an awesome time staying at the Funky Fish. The wonderful staff really make the stay. Not much of a beach to speak of but the pool area is really nice. Amazing view from the restaurant area, absolutely breathtaking! Take plenty of mozzie repellent as there are quite a few around. And a torch for walking to the restaurant at... More

We spent a week in Funky Fish in July 2011 and had a wonderful time. Although we booked into the thorny oyster accommodation (private room within the dorm building) we were really, really happy to have been upgraded to the Rock Lobster accommodation. The gorgeous bright yellow little huts! Knowing what we know now, we wouldn't recommend Thorny Oyster as... More

Not a five star resort but what they offer for the price it might as well be. The staff is so humble, intelligent and friendly. 15 min away from cloudbreak, are you kidding me. If you want to go spend $500 a night at Tavarua, feel free. The surf transfers are very organized and reliable. The food is absolutely amazing.... More

Funky Fish is a small, friendly resort with utterly lovely staff and nice, clean rooms. We stayed for a week while we did a scuba course at a nearby resort. For a fraction of the price we got friendly, personalised service from staff who became friends. Definitely join in the afternoon game of volleyball - it's hard to say who... More

This is such a great place to stay! My second visit, with Fijian hubby and UK cousin visiting Fiji for the first time. Quote from cousin on 4th day: "I have never felt so relaxed in all my life". Special mention must be made of Fabiano, the incredible chef; whether it is one of his dinner specials or burger and... More
