If you feel the old Malacca, I recommend this hotel alot. Downside is that you can here a lot of noise from next door if you get a connecting room. The breakfast is not special, but enough if you are not fussy. The location is perfect. Everything is in walking distance. The hotel staff is helpful as well.

Beautiful historic property although we had a fairly uninspiring room. Saying that, the bathroom was new with a good shower. I found the reception staff helpful although perhaps a little surly....maybe a smile or two would help generate good feeling. Decent breakfast served in pretty courtyard. We stayed here for two days and had a great experience with the hotel. Rooms are pretty big and are clean. A visit to the spa is very recommendable, very relaxing and pretty cheap! Also the location is pretty good. Just a short walk to the stadthuys and just of Jonker street

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old hotel. Room was adequate, bathroom excellent, breakfast excellent in a lovely garden setting and the location is superb. On one day our room wasn't cleaned until mid afternoon which was a bit annoying, particularly because it was so early the previous day, but all in all can't complain.

I stayed a whole week at Hotel Puri, it was an exquisite experience. It is such a lovingly restored old colonial Chinese mansion, feels like being transported back in time. All around it too is beautiful old heritage property, it really is living history. Conveniently located in Chinatown, handy yo everything- especially some great eating places.
