What a great place to stay! We only stayed one night but were made to feel incredibly welcome. The family were really helpful, calling ahead to restaurants to make sure they were open, and giving us excellent directions (and a map) around Melaka with advice on where to visit. The home stay itself is really homely and tranquil with chickens,... More

We stayed here for three nights. The location is a bit hard to find, but is inside a charming little Kampung. The hosts were wondeful - welcoming and treated you like family. You can tell that the family is tight - the children are extremely well brought up by their parents, and all of them invest a lot of time... More

Old world charm of an authentic Malay dwelling situated in the Kampung. Chinese hosts very kind and friendly. Pleasant garden, tasty breakfast, peace and quiet, pleasant atmosphere, 5 minutes to sights and malls. Good place, not a problem.

The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. One of them even made a phone call to a restaurant to check that they were open. Very attentive. Location is fairly close to town, short 10 minute walk. I have stayed in a Thai house so was curious to try a Malay one and the reviews seem good. We had a double... More

Our taxidriver couldn't find the guesthouse so he called the guesthouse for the location. Kenny picked us up by car from where the taxidriver didn't know anymore. This was not even 200m away from the guesthouse, so friendly! Kenny informed us about the ins and outs of Malaka and stayed awake until we came home in the night. The day... More

A very simple homestay. Is a bit difficult to locate but once you are familiarize with areas is actually very accessible to everywhere. A chance to feel like what is it like to stay in traditional houses of the locals but of course with wifi air con and hot water. The room is very small and don't expect tv and... More

I said landlords, because we felt like homestay. Good, trustworthy people, very exotic atmosphere! If you are not very picky person, I would recommend here. Breakfast include (fruit, bread, butter, omlette, jam, coffee-tea), has quite and green garden, 10 min walk from Melaka centre. Sleep quality is low because of walls are chipboard but we really liked to be in... More

We booked a twin room. We understood a twin room to mean 2 beds. However, their details at chech in described a double as 2 beds and a twin as a double bed. Since we sleep on a king size bed at home we decided to change rooms as they became available. If like us you are tall and find... More

We stayed in a twin room at the Apa Kaba Home&Stay for 2 nights. It is in walking distance to city center (10 min to jonker street) but we really liked the place and the staff. The room was a bit old fashioned but clean and friendly. We loved to sit outside in the garden on the little pergola. We... More
