First of all we booked the resort through a travel website.. it promised so many things in the website. the actual picture was in front of us when we group of 10 people reached there... Back for my third time to Village Royale,this time for a month. Stayed here as it was one of the cheapest hotels in Calangute and you get whatyou pay for... its a big hotel.. to big!! for the size of the pool and no shade anyware... Its fairly easy to get around from there and have an amble but got fed up with all the time share sellers on scooters!! Its cheap... More

Well... If U don't expect anything special it's ok. Was surprized of remoteness from the beach but then found out that it's usual thing in Goa. Rooms are so-so, bathroom was a bit scary. They clean only if U ask @ reception. Didn't leave our money and valuable things in room so nothing was stolen. Restaurant's ok. Food's tasty. Not... More

We chose to stay here as we were finishing our backpacking trip and thought we deserved a little luxury..... I had a really good time staying here. Our room was cleaned every day, made good friends with the house keeping! staff were very friendly. breakfast was basic but the food on the menu was brilliant. met alot of british holiday... More

This is a very average resort which does not deserve to be a Thomas Cook resort. We booked it independently because it was cheap (£20pn) and we have travelled India extensively, but would be very dissapointed if we came expecting 'package holiday' standards. When we arrived the standard of customer service was poor it was the middle of the night and we didnt no were we were going etc the hotel was very noisy even though there was a alcohol ban after 11 I had my money and sunglasses stolen from the room and when I reported it they seemed not bothered overall... Stayed here Jan Feb this year. Basic but fine. Staff friendly and helpful. Food is very good. Excelent massage on site called Sindhu ask for Peter, you wont regret it. More

what a total CRAP hole we were supposed to be there 3 weeks but lasted 2 nights the bathroom was the bad you were dirtier when you got out of it there were holes in the walls and the ceiling was patched up to a degree the kitchen was an absolute joke no waste plumbed in so all the water... More
