Just back from Astoria Hotel and had an excellent 3 weeks. This hotel knocks spots of the big ones. The staff are great and can't do enough for you.

Stayed here for 2 night and the experience was just ok. The receptionists were robotic and I felt they had little idea about their rooms. Stayed there for one night when I arrived in Kolkata. The hotel is just average compared to other options around Sudder Street. Not 100% clean, a bit run-down, apparently there has not been any renovation since a while. Room and bathroom were spacious and just ok. I payed 1200 rps/night which is a bit overpriced for that area I guess.

Average hotel for stay. Only advanatge is situated very near to raliway station approximately 5 kms.. but far from airport. Rest all fine... but service quality is bad.

Avoid it!!! Terrible hotel. Room are dirty, toilet are terrible, glasses on window are broken and a lot of mosquitos comei nside the room.
