We have stayed here before as it is good value for money in Mumbai (around Colaba), the rooms are small but well equipped. (no coffee or tea facilities) The location is great with many eateries close by and within walking distance to the Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel. The staff are most helpful and friendly. Would go back.

To reiterate other reviews, this hotel is clean and in a great location. The bathroom was spotless and looked recently renovated to a high standard and there was hot water available - always a plus I find! The staff were charming and management friendly and helpful and, as a single lady, I felt perfectly comfortable. Leopold's cafe is steps away... More

I stay for few nights at this hotel. The people are very friendly. The room are clean. It is a bit expensive but we are in Mumbai. They are other hotels that are worst and cost more than here. Don't hesitate to reserve here.

This place, visually, is quite nice despite starting to age a little. The bathroom was a little grubby. Staff, on the whole, were friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, we got into Mumbai at 2am with nowhere to stay and we used the airport hotel booking booth. On arrival at the hotel, we paid a deposit and only have ourselves to blame... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in a triple room. The room was spotless, with good modern a/c and the best bathroom we had in India! The hotel has a really central location on Colaba Causeway, right by Leopolds Cafe and a few mins walk from the Gateway of India which is really handy for boats to Elephanta Island and other... More

We have stayed at the Hotel Causeway both times we have called into Mumbai whilst in India. I just couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and modern and quiet for sleeping. It's so cute to go through the shoe shop to the lift or stairs at the back to go up to the Causeway... More

The Causeway Hotel is located in Colaba, the most popular place for travellers to stay. All the things to see are very close, many within walking distance. The hotel is next to Leopolds Cafe, the sight of the first bombings in the Mumbai 2008 attacks. If you are getting a taxi to the hotel the best thing to say is... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with my 2 adult daughters. The entrance is right in the centre of a busy shopping area, entrance through a shoe shop! Helpful staff (lots of them!) Rooms must have been renovated and were very comfortable. Despite being on a busy rd, it wasn't that noisy & we slept ok. Exiting in the centre... More

Do not be misled by the pics on the website. It is much better from the inside than what appears from outside. Rooms have been recently renovated and are equipped with Split A/C's and LCD Tvs. Size of the r0oms are bit small but for the price thay are Ok. Also, if you are going to be touring around town... Hotel is nothing like it looks on their website. It is totally renovated, rooms and reception area are now very modern. Only downside is rooms are really small, but all we needed it was for a good nights sleep and a shower. Variety of restaurants on hotel doorstep. Could not have chosen a better location. Would definitely stay there again.
