Like the previous reviewer, I would not recommend this hotel for more than one night. Although an unusual experience at a convenient location, I would nit advise staying here for more than one night as their bed was unusually hard which makes for poor sleep. The towels were also disposable paper towels that tears if you wipe too hard... But...

This hotel is listed in both Lonely Planet and Rough Guide, although under slightly different names: Lugang Matsu Temple (Pilgrim's Building or Believer Hotel). The two books list 2 other hotels, one more upscale but 10 minutes walk from the tourist stuff, and one even simpler.
