The good rooms are simple but clean and good enough. But they are absolutely overpriced comparing with the average in Sri Lanka. The cheapest rooms are quite old and not convenient for western standards.

If you are looki for something basic, walking distance to the rock temple, then this is a good bet. Rooms a clean enough and dinner will be prepared if asked for in advance. They set you up in their living room, which has plenty of character,including a little indoor waterfall/ pond!
