I stayed here after completing the Lares Trek, and probably would have been happy with any bed and a hose. I had been warned not to expect much from hotels in Aguas Calientes (they're all overpriced for the class of service they provide). The room was clean and basic; the decor was loud but nothing to write home about. The... More

Hotel "Pachacuteq Inn" is located in one of four streets going away from the main square of Aguas Calientes. A lot of mini-markets, restaurants, other hotels are near it. It seems to me that in this competition with them "Pachacuteq Inn" is outsider. According to my visual impression, the hotel wasn't even half-filled. I think it's because of high rates... More

Everything in Aguascalientes is expensive. This was included in part of our Lares trek. The rooms were nice and had private bathrooms. Showers were not overly hot. Had the most AMAZING nights sleep but possibly owing to the fact of not having had a bed the previous few nights (had been in a tent) Breakfast is included and is served... More

My husband and I stayed at the Pachacuteq for one night as part of a GAP Adventures tour. It was the only disappointing hotel on our entire trip. On our arrival we were kept waiting while they tried to find our reservation.... eventually we were shown to our 'Matrimonial' room on the first/second floor. The decor of the entire hotel... More

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a G adventures tour. The hotel is located at the opposite end of town and is quite an uphill walk. We had a room on the first floor which was of average size and clean. Bathroom was tiny but otherwise ok. Couldn't get TV to work and staff were not helpful... More

I stayed at Pachacuteq as part of a tour with 10 students and four adults. We didn't choose the hotel. I read the reviews before the trip, and was ready for the worst at this place. It wasn't as bad as some of the reviews sounded, but I don't plan to stay there again. The whole place is, in fact,... More

A Swiss family of 5, on tour in Peru... We stayed only one night in this place, for visiting Machu Pichu. The hotel is not very far from the train/bus station, it is on a somewhat noisy street with restaurants, bars etc. But that was ok. There is nothing exceptional about the hotel, but I guess that's a common point... More

Luckily we only had one night here, the hotel is a fair uphill walk from the train station, but quite near the main restaurants. Our room was found through a maze of corridors and stairs and was clean as was the bathroom. No hot water that night but there was hot water at 4am. The room had a tiled floor... More

I stayed here with a friend and the rooms are dark and dingy (although the first night my window opened outside where it was LOUD and the second it opened to a concrete wall..) and the hotel is like a huge maze with a lot of steps. My linens smelled like mildew and our showers didn't work. There was standing... More

My wife and I had an unexpected four-night stay at Hotel Pachakuteq (that's how it's spelled on the sign outside the hotel) when we got stranded in Aguas Calientes due to landslides that canceled train service. My main complaint is that when I paid with a MasterCard, they charged me 25% higher than the rate they quoted me despite the... More
