We stayed here 1 night before visiting Ait Benhadou. The hotel is on the road past the village next to a river. The hosts are very helpful and surroundings beautiful. Apparently, one can continue on the road past this hotel and connect to the road to Marrakech. It shows as unpaved on the map but it has been paved now... More

Without reservation, we arrived at Defat Kasbah and were made most welcome. In a good location, its service is its strongest asset. If your planning on staying the night at ait ben haddou (sunset on the old ksour is lovely and most tourists are gone) this is the only decent place other then a giant expensive tourist hotel. Excellent location next to a river 3 km from Ain Benhaddou. The mud and plaster look of the hotel is authentic Moroccan. We found the rooms very ordinary but everything else was charming. The pool is pleasant, the many balconies are nice and the staff is a jolly bunch of young lads who spiced up the atmosphere.
