I've been to Merzouga twice (in 2004 and again in Jan. 2012). I stayed in Ksar Bicha for several nights both times. It's a great location (only a short walk to the dunes and about 10-15 minute walk from the village center) and it's particularly nice to be removed from the packed touristy row of auberges on the other side... Ali, the host and his team are your friends, not only because you are a tourist and you gonna bring them money, is because it is their style of living. As a travel guide he gave me all the best tips, the food was the best we got us 3 during the 10 days in Morocco. The driving in the... More

Ksar Bicha was our last minute choice. We travelled to Merzouga and one of the first hotels that we found was Ksar Bicha - and thank God for that. The staff is lovely - especially the one that take you out to the desert. The desert stay was magical to stay the least - and the staff did a great... More

Great hotel. Very nice staff. You can learn with them a lot interesting things about Morocco, Berber culture and desert. They're doing amazing camel desert trip and bivouac. We watched sunset from the tallest dune, then we watched the stars have some dinner, music and dancing. They even wake us up for seeing sunrise. They will make sure you not... More

Did miss I something? chose this hotel for the wife & 2yr old son as a result of previous reviewers comments. when we pulled up at the hotel it looked like a bomb had hit it with construction work going on & rubbish everywhere; it honestly looked like a dump. Whilst it undoubtly has a fantastic location with views out... More

My stay in Ksar Bicha was absolutely unforgetable! The hotel is charming, cozy and very clean. The staff is friendly and very welcoming (and they speak several languages!). The trip to the desert was absolutely amazing! Great food, music, comfortable tents and the best guides ever! If you're coming to the desert make sure you stay at the Ksar Bicha. More

We had been informed about Ksar Bicha from a friend who told us: "you definately do not want to miss that!". He was soooo right! We arrived late noon and made the excursion suggested by Ali, the owner of the Hotel who welcomed us warmly, made us feel confortable at once and helped my friend who was a bit relactant... More

After traveling around Africa for a couple of months...this was probably one of the places I enjoyed the most. This was most definitely the best part of Morocco! A great place to relax and an even better place to have a good time! I wish I spent more time there. The service by the staff was wonderful, and Ali was... More

We did not want to go for the typical tourist desert tour on camels. Therefore our intention was to get as close as possible to the desert dunes in merzouga and stayed a night in the Ksar Bicha. As presumed the picture on the webpage is bit "customized" :) but the Riad really IS pretty close to the dunes...takes you... More
