We stayed for 3 nights. Airconditioned double room with an extra mattress for the third person. Right on beach, nice views of beach and mountains, good restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Place needs maintenance, but much better shape than most of the other places around Long Beach. We switched chalets after the first night to one where the airconditioning actually... More

First the good points- the staff were very friendly and helpful and the resteraunt was very clean and very well presented. Plus great food! The dive centre linked with the chalets ( stingray divers) were excellent and all very friendly, i went for a dive with them and they let my girlfriend come and snorkle, very reasonable price. Great location.... More

We arrived in the Perhentians on March 2, with no clue as to where we would stay. We spent an hour wandering down Long Beach, and eventually decided just to book at Moonlight because we didn't want to walk over to Coral Bay as it was hot & our backpacks were feeling heavier by the moment! We took the last... More

I think the cheapest one but also the aller, aller worst!!! Don't stay in this mess! À lot of ants in the room (dorm) and very uncomfortable shower/toilet. No internet, no service, nothing! More

I have been travelling for the last 11 months, and I can honestly say this is the worst place I have ever stayed. The chalets are disgusting! there was a hole in our ceiling and they literally are shed's with a dingy matress flung on the floor. As for the bathroom, again its revolting with hole's in the ceiling and... More

Positive: great location with a nice view to the beach and some corals to explore; staff is mega-friendly; didi, the ladyboy-in-retirement, makes killer milkshakes. But guys, can you please fix these chalets? Or rather build new ones because these are beyond salvaging. Ours was literally falling apart! Our bed was placed on concrete blocks (since its legs broke), sliding door... More

Was expecting for the worse but it turns out to be pretty good! I was there for only a couple of days and was put in the dormitory with 7 beds, but only 1 was occupied. First thing to notice was the stench in the room, which I did not spend a lot of time in as I was doing... More

Our bookings at Tropicana got screwed up and we are very lucky to be able to be able to stay in Moonlight as they have availability for dormitories that could fit 5 of us in it and with plenty of space! without hesitation we immediately book the dorm and we had a goodnite sleep, afterall being in the island you... This is a great place to stay on the Perhentian Islands. Staff are really friendly and it is one of the closest places to stay right on the beach. Rooms are very basic but it is all you need as most of the time is spent outside on the beach. The Perhentian Islands are a must visit and definitely do... More
