I can't comment on the dorm rooms as we stayed in the tree-house, a small, elevated room with cosy verandah and amazing views. It is tucked into a tree right on the water's edge, with a private bathroom one level below the bedroom. There is such a range of places to stay in the Perhentians. If you want the perfect sandy beach with aqua blue seas and a choice of food then this is not for you...and if you want a gorgeously comfy aircon room, it's not for you either... but if you want somewhere you can relax and get away from it... Very isolated with the gift of a booking that don't exist! The staff not friendly, know well this affair... Overprized, very dirty, i was for a night in the dorm with my girlfriend and others 5-6 travellers... The beach is nice, small, crowded, a little dirty.
