We stayed at the NAK hotel for one night at the end of three weeks in Borneo. The room was spacious, well equipped, very clean and we loved the mid-century styling. The staff were very helpful - printing off my boarding pass for me and even ringing me up to remind me to send it to them. The rooftop bar... More

Prices starts from RM88 per night, which is cheap, considering the cleanliness of the room and completeness of the amenities provided. The hotel is conveniently located near the town and the waterfront, so it is relatively easy to look for food. If it is too hot to venture the town, you can always hide in the rooftop restaurant, which gives... More

I find it interesting that the Nak is rated higher than the Sabah on trip advisor. I just stayed in both of them and there's NO camparison. Yes, the Nak might be a better location but it's old, dirty and used up. The Sabah is beautiful, lovely pool with trees and water falls and the rooms are clean and big.... More

the people here were very friendly and helpful with onward travel the rooms not too bad for the price every thing worked but as a little bit sad old. the roof top restaurant was the cherry on the cake so to speak both indoor air con seating for the day and outside for the evenings .too high for the mozzies... My husband & I stayed here for part of our honeymoon , we loved the room and great views of the sea from rooftop restaurant! They provided opportunities to go on kinabatangan river cruises to see monkeys and pigmy elephants with mini night time trek to see amazing wildlife. Close to orangutang and proboscis monkey sanctuary! Only drawback is no... More

Spent 3 nights here. The room was nice and spacious. Complete with tv, aircond and hot shower. As a muslim, i kinda relieve that they also provide a prayer mat. Just ask them. Their staff are so friendly and helpfull. Falling in love with the rooftop bar. It was nice having my meal here while watching the ocean and the... More

We stayed for one night at the Nak Hotel. For the price the rooms were a good size and reasonably furnished with air con. Although the room was clean we noticed the smell of cigarette smoke and being in the centre it was quite noisy which did keep us awake. The restaurant served a nice pizza in the evening. We... More

I love the roof top bistro with magnificent view of the Sandakan town regardless it is quiet during the night. Service wise, good with staffs that do smile and greet clients. They are very helpful too. It depends on which room you are in, some do come with nice view. Although they may need to consider about changing the tea... More

We stayed at NAK Hotel for one night as a stopover, and found it good value for what we wanted out of it, which was convenience and comfort for a good price, and it seemed to have some character. It had been recently renovated, and done pretty well, though you could still tell it was an old building. We had... More

We stayed here for a couple nights at the beginning and the end of a jungle tour. It was a centrally located hotel with nice staff and decent rooms. Pretty good value for your money and definitely somewhere I'd suggest after trekking around in the jungle. An interesting bar at the top (beware they forget to put alcohol in your... More
