The sandat mas is in a great location and looks nice from the outside but the entire staff was completely rude EVERYTIME we needed something. They accused us of using one of the villa rooms and tried to charge us extra for the room we did not use. I would not recommend staying here. Better and cheaper hotels close by

Well priced accomodation located in a beautiful garden with a great pool. Family run hotel, friendly staff, located close to surf and restaurants. Great bananna pancakes for breakfast. Highly recommended!!!

Keep in mind the accomodation on the surf side of the island is a lot more basic so dont expect your normal hotel comforts. The cottages are clean and comfortable, nice pool, airy bathroom - actually the bathroom does not have a roof. Standard rooms do not have hot water, but the staff were considerate and gave us a bucketful of hot water. It is within walking distance to the surfing beach at Suluban and about 2 kms from the Uluwatu temple.
