As we were clambering out of our taxi on arrival at Lotus Village we were confronted by someone demanding to know whether we had a reservation. When we confirmed that we did, she simply turned on her heel & disappeared from whence she came. After paying our driver we followed her lead (assuming that she was staff & we may... More

Bungalows and gardens are very well maintained. Bungalows have en-suite facilities and are very clean. All staff-members are friendly. Location is in walking distance from the shops and night market. Breakfast is a la carte and good. Nice lounge to read and relax. But the bunus is the spa, housed in one of the wooden bungalows. No fancy 5 star... More

The guesthouse has a variety of accommodations ranging from upscale, luxury 2-bedroom teak houses to modest, one room bungalows. The landscaping is awe-inspiring -- like living in a tropical paradise. There is an outdoor cafe serving breakfast and lunch and an indoor lounge for relaxing. Evening snacks are available. The staff is friendly. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful. The... More

The key point here, the reason for the Very Good rating, is that Lotus Village is a very cheap place to stay. You're down at a price that is almost backpacker lodgings. So while you don't have plush 4-star luxury, you do have a charming little guest house with clean and pleasant rooms and a good breakfast. The whole place... More

Lotus Village is situated in New Sukhothai which is 12 kms from the Historical Park and located within 5-10 minutes walking distance of the main town. It has the advantages of being quiet (no roosters were heard). The complex is relaxing and tranquil and has a feeling of sanctuary about it. They had a spa service on site, I did... More

The place is locked in in the city of Sukhothai but once you´re on the premises you feel like you´re out of the city. Convenient location, walking distance to the market with a good outdoors restaurant. In the hotel itself you can only get sandwiches and salads. The place has a really nice atmosphere and it´s certainly not a typical... More

On web looked pretty good however the hotel was far from the description on their website. Located closed to main market within the heart of the city. Rooms gave feeling of typical shophouse in Thailand with basic furniture. No actvities whatsoever, no tv or any other amenity. Breakfast had limited choice but was fresh. There is no fullfledged restaurant hence... More

set in nice garden in quiet location convenient to New Sukhothai. Bungalows are in pairs so if you don't like smoking that may mean you can't sit outside on your balcony if your neighbor smokes. Since the owner is French and smokes, there are smokers. Service is ok but not good when compared to the usual terrifically thoughtful and helpful... More

Went with a friend. Had booked one room near the old section and was told on arrival that the new place was much better. It happened to be about 25% more expensive, also. After carefully going over all the expenses with one of the managers, they tacked on a ludicrous fee for car service from the train station. They stayed... More
