Booked our stay via email. Phillip told us that they are in the middle of renovating the rooms and gave us the biggest room for a normal room prize. When we arrived the downstairs bar was closed and the place looked like it was closed for good. After couple minutes Phillip arrived and showed us our room and gave us... More

We decided for this guesthouse based on brilliant reviews and as we were planning to go to Koh Tao only for 2 days we wanted a garantuee of something really good so that we wouldn’t need to waste any time going around places etc. One of the huge pluses of this place should have been the niceness of the owner... Thailand is the country of smiles and yes I’m a smiling person. It seems you don’t take it in a positive way, what a pity. I’m going now to reply seriously to your comments, I remember you, actually even as nice people, so you can imagine how surprised I am. Review; “I got no email back but it didn’t worry... More

These guys really cant do enough enough for you. The honest intro to the island when you check in is very welcome and helpful. Som is great with making sure your travel arrangements work for you, and both Som and Philippe really want your stay top be perfect. The room we had was cosy, with a good double bed, good... More

My girlfriend and I originally intended to stay one or two nights at Captain Nemo, but ended up staying a week. The room we stayed in was a double room with a private bathroom. There was a powerful fan, very good water pressure, warm water, and a well-working western-style toilet. The room was kept very clean at all times -... More

The guesthouse is situated at a great spot, only a small walk from the ferry. In the street there is a bank, nice restaurants (Dolce Vita and Café del Sol) and lots of shops. The owners are the nicest people. Philipe is a lovely man, his wife Som is great and we had much great laughs with her and their... More

We stayed here 2weeks ago and really enjoyed our visit. The owners gave some us some good advice about the island and were very helpful regarding booking trips & onward ferries. Ultimately our focus was not too spend too much time in the room so although it was a little tired, it was clean and everything worked so we felt... More

We were asked by the female owner to write a review - so here we go. We stayed at Captain Nemo's for three nights and made the schoolboy error of paying upfront without viewing the room as we were told by her husband that we were being upgraded free of charge to the most expensive room. Once we had paid... More

Thanks for your review and let's go ehead. We firstly never take any deposit when people book a room days, weeks or even months in advance ( they come, ok, they don’t, ok as well) we all know what deposit means … we don’t work that way, everybody can change their plans during their holidays , we do respect that... I felt right at home after an exhausting trip. I was there for 2 days but wish I could have stayed 2 weeks This place was very clean, with a comfortable bed, good size bathroom, and lots of movies to watch. A definite recommendation to anyone going to Koh Tao.

I stayed in Captain Nemo guest house for 2 weeks - firstly, as the previous reviewer, i also had the luxury of staying in the worlds best hotels. However, this is not a hotel - it's a guest house so do not expect 24/7 reception, room service or nice toileteries in your bathroom. This is a guesthouse with 5 or... More

If you are in Tao this is well worth staying at. The room was cleaned daily (a rarity) and had a tv, dvds to borrow and air con. The downstairs bar is well stocked with happy hour deals and painted in a unique, boutique way. The real stars are the family that run it, a fantastic team with impeccable English,... More
