We are an expat couple, living in Thailand for 10 years. We do speak Thai and are accustomed with the country, its surprises and the Thai way of running a business... ;) TohKo (Tor Koh??) is a extremely nice resort, run by a lovely family. A first good reason to go there: you are giving your money to people who... More

The only good thing about this place are the friendly staff. You cannot get comfortable here.there is only power from 6 pm to 6am so during the day you can't get cool. The furniture is old and extremely uncomfortable.the Mosquitos are large and persistent. The resort is a 15 min boat ride from town which they charge you for.they claim... More

We stayed one night at this resort before moving to Long Beach, as we found this too secluded and basic for our liking. We stayed in one of the cheapest huts, which was very small and dark and the mosquitoes ate us alive during the night as the net had holes in it. The food though was great and the... More

We stayed here for two night in the middle of April. Found it In a lovely location with absouloutly nowhere anywhere near it apart from the sea sand and jungle! On arrival we were asked if we wanted to change the room as we initially we had an air con room which is situated towards the top of the hill... More

If you want to get away from all the tourists and find a quiet place Toh Ko seems like a good option. The beach is beautiful, secluded and really peaceful. So if you want to spend a couple of days in a hammock reading a book and enjoying the beach with a cocktail this is a good pick. However if... More

So I don't regret staying here, it was an experience. We stayed in a bamboo hut, which was glorified camping (which I enjoy!), with an outdoor bathroom, with brown water coming out of the sink (but that's a tiny island for you). The noise of the sea soon goes from being romantic to a relentless noise (not for light sleepers)... More

Thus place is set in a beach in the quiet side of the island. The rooms are VERY OVERPRICED for what they are. The service was not great as none of them know how to smile, and that makes alot of difference. Our room was the closest to the main bit and was near the sewer and kitchen, which made... More

If you want luxury, then stop reading here and book somewhere else. If you want a natural and relaxing experience then continue. My partner and I stayed here for a few nights in November 2011. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, we found it extremely relaxing, isolated and romantic. The staff are extremely professional and friendly, they will make you... More

At 2500 bhat we were expecting a beautiful bungalow with ocean views....the room we initially got shown was alive with insects and small and pokey, so we immediately asked to move. The bamboo but we moved Into was beautifully hand crafted but the mosquito net above the bed was full of dead Mosquitos and the light switch was covered in... More

Pros - staff were great. Food good. Peaceful at night (only). Secluded. Good snorkelling right in front of the resort. Beach huts were lovely but very basic. Ok place for 1 or 2 nights Little con depending on your view point - you really are stuck there and need to pay 200baht per person to get anywhere by tailboat. If... More
