The haveli's in Bundi are mainly still owned by the families who lived there for many generations and have been restored to different extent. The Braj has been in the family for 8 generations and has a few extensions. The family has tried to keep the house original, you can see that at some point someone tried to paint the... More

Few people seem to go to Bundi although it's such a nice little town! Although the fort is crumbling it has a lot more atmosphere than some of it's better-in-shape big brothers and the town is just so relaxing, no hassle at all! And if you do come here, stay at Braj Bhushanjee. It's worth every penny spent: soooo beautifully... More

Wonderful location close to the palace and at walking distance to everything worth seeing in this still autentic old town. The haveli is magical and makes one travel in time. Room and bathroom were very clean and we had a very nice welcome. Thank you for letting us share this incredible atmosphere.

The haveli is wonderfully located, with absolutely unparelleled view of the palace. The room was clean, so was the bathroom, with a touch of serious art taste in all decorations - none of the common all-in decorations so popular in India. The most wonderful was the dining room - felt like a journey back in time, easy to imagine gents... More

We were surprised to visit this old Haveli and to receive such a negative welcome. No, we could not have coffee in the courtyard . No we could not have a cup of tea. No, there was no other drink that could be served to us. And NO we could the toilet because it was locked. We were recommended to... More

After a long drive from Agra we arrived very late at the Haveli , the charming owner was waiting for us . The place is a real thing own by the same family since XVI century . Even at this late hour they prepared us a excellent vegetarian dinner . Regret not to have stay a other day in Bundi.

The haveli was brilliantly located and run with great respect for Brahmin tradition by Mukesh Mehta and his brother. They have recently restored the 'heritage' wing which whilst not facing the palace, was much quieter and we had a whole floor to ourselves with a covered verandah overlooking the town and beautiful painted rooms. It was perfectly located with the... More

We stayed at this Haveli in May 2012 for 3 nights. We were the only guests the first night, as it is May and definitely the off season. First of all, I want to say to anyone considering going to Bundi – do it. After the hustle and bustle of Delhi, Agra, and even Udaipur, Bundi is a welcome respite.... More

A quirky hotel with the loveliest family who cares a lot about your stay. We wanted to stay in one of the room that was like a jewel box but the owner flagged it was a bit noisy and perhaps we would prefer a quieter room. He was right and we moved the next day without any problem. It was... More

We stayed 2 nights and even though I don't think we had the most amazing of their rooms, the entire property is awesome. The breakfast/dining room looks like a museum and you have a hard time focussing on your food (vegetarian by the way). My son was a permanent visitor of the swing in the courtyard and it's representative of... More
