This property is about 15 min from the town of Munnar and is in the middle of cardamom plantations. The staff took us for a 1 hour walk among the plantation, explaining how they harvest and dry cardamom. The accommodation is huge with some small outdoor areas to relax. The food (in particular the masala tea) was very nice and... More

We had a beautifully presented bungalow with lovely views across the valley. Our welcome was very warm and we enjoyed the food. The only downside to our visit, and this had nothing to do with the staff, was that at dinner the only other table was occupied by two couples who played Bridge and spoke loudly of the game throughout... My mother and I stayed at Ambady Estate over the long Easter weekend. This place is absolutely lovely, about 9 kms short of Munnar so away from the madding commercial hubbub and thankfully so. The villas are delightful, very well maintained (they look spanking clean and absolutely newly done) lots of lawn space in the front and back and each... More

We stayed here in the month of December. We had the whole twin cottage to ourselves, since we were a family of 4, with 2 grown up children. The rooms are spacious and the cottages have their own little garden, very peaceful, the only sound was that of birds chirping. At night we saw an owl on a tree very... More

We stayed here at the beginning of March. What a lovely place. We arrived not very well (nothing to do with India more of a British flu type bug) and found the people charming and caring, and we had a wonderful time relaxing watching the birds in our private bit of garden. Anything we needed was provided - we enjoyed... More

Our bungalow was spacious and very clean with a small garden to sit in at the end of the day, in a lovely location. Each semi-detached bungalow is on a different level around the estate. The water was almost hot and pressure could have been better. The staff were exceptionally helpful, even prepared a special dish for me at breakfast.... More

We stayed here for only 1 night but we wish we had stayed for longer. The food was exceptional, the little bungalows are very comfortable and we felt so relaxed and pampered at the end. Try the hammocks if you have time after you arrive. This place is highly recommended and we would stay here again, but for longer next... More
