“Great value for the Plitvice area”

Was contemplating staying at the bigger and more expensive hotels near entrance 1 but Villa Katja is equally great at half the price. If you are arriving in the dark like us, make sure you get off the bus at Mukinje stop. A quick tip, there is not much food options and well stocked supermarket (at least in the winter),... More

“Picturesque, homely, friendly”

We were collected from the bus stop and shown to a lovely bungalow/cottage. Friendly family home and rooms in a beautiful flowery garden. This is some of the closest accommodation to the lakes. Slept really well as was quiet and homely.

After booking (and confirming) with HostelBookers.com months in advance, upon arriving at Villa Katja we were shown not to a room in the villa as advertised and pictured, but to next doors hostel. We were escorted past several rooms that would've done fine and shown up a narrow dark passage too small to fit ourselves through with a backpack. We... More

We stayed at Villa Katja for 2 nights in June. The villa is in a lovely place and just a nice forest walk away from entrance 2 to the lakes. Room was nice, clean and large.
