I've traveled all over the world using hostels to fine hotels. The stay in this hovel was pretty yucky. The agreed price was not honored. I have a receipt for one price but my card (upon checking it at home) was charged a different price. The shower area had mold and the curtain was torn. The bathroom was barely held... More

It was late at night and we was wore out from driving and made the mistake of checking in to this hotel. The door was busted where someone had pryed on the dead bolt. Opened the door up cigarette pack on the floor and other trash. Paid the extra $15.00 for pet fee for my Registered Pom-Chi (weights 4 pounds).... More

Owner confrontational, complained about me using debit card to pay late checkout fee. Threatened to call police for trespass because I was in the room after check out hours. Explained that I thought my boyfriend paid for 2 days and I wanted to call him. She then demanded my I.d I told her I was willing to pay for the... More

Filth everywhere. Stay away. No cheap rate is worth even setting foot in this hellhole of a hotel. Microtel should be ashamed.

We stopped at Microtel because we have always had good experience with them in the past, but this time was a bust! I travel with a service animal due to a personal handicap and the first thing the front desk clerk tried was to charge a "Pet" fee for him. My husband explained he was a working dog and showed... Even though the motel was almost empty, we were given a room located next to a noisy air conditioning/heating unit. Two out of the four walls in the sleeping area had a very messy paint job and the bathroom looked even worse. An electrical outlet and light switch had been installed in the headboard, it looked scary and when the... More

You could find better, I doubt you could find worse in the US. The drywall finishing and paint here were done by sloppy blind bricklayers. The rooms are loud and you will be surprised at the items you find working. Towels are in short supply and the "Breakfast" is sparse. Sloppily finished, unmaintained facility. The front lobby seems decent enough,... More

Unsanitary! I won't say on computer what we found on the sink but just imagine! They did not really care about the person/people staying in the hotel! I understand now why they don't refund money (even after only being in the room for a few minutes) otherwise they would not be in business. The staff was so unfriendly! I wouldn't... More

We arrived very late or we would have changed hotels. The whole floor and the room smelled. The room was dirty. The floor appeared to have never been cleaned. The telephone was filthy and belonged in another room. Electrician's nightmare. Light switches that didn't go with adjacent lights. Bathroom light was a converted heat lamp on a timer. Uncovered outlet... More

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Gatlinburg, TN based on the other reviews found here. We can not have possibly stayed at the same place as the people who wrote the other reviews because our experience could'nt have been more opposite. First of all, there was no security at all. We arrived at around 11:00 p.m. and... More
