Was greeted at check in with smiles and professional courtesy. The room was spacious with a full kitchen. Bathroom was extremely clean. Bed was good but could do a better job with pillows. Breakfast was provided but was missing several items. Also kitchen staff could be a little friendlier.

The hotel is convenient to the University of Alabama, Birmingham and the the Five Points section which features a number of bars and restaurants. I am a fan of the Residence Inn's. Great room with kitchen. We stayed here while visiting a family member who was a patient at UAB Hospital. We could walk to the hospital. Very convenient to hospital and restaurants. Staff was courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
