First, it is no longer the Liyi Holiday Hotel - it is the Leisure Inn Yangshuo. We did not book the hotel and relied on a friend who is now working in the area. We needed to spend the night after the cruise down from Guilin. I must say, it was a good choice.

We stayed here in October as part of a tour. The Standard of hotels in the area is not high, and this is no exception. It is, though, well situated to explore this great little town. Just minutes from West Street, and the beautiful Li River.

The rooms are freshly decorated and the air conditioning is fine. Handy for local restaurants.
The showers tend to flood the bathroom floors.
There are no safes but plenty of warnings about windows and doors being kept locked. Very open access to the floors of the annex and the desk at the door has nothing to do with the hotel....
