We spent three nights at this hotel, located just off the main tourist strip. The rooms were small but clean and lots of bathrooms scattered about the hotels for those guests who didn't have privates. The best part of the hotel was the courtyard, with comfortable hammocks, picnic tables and trees - this was a nice little oasis from the...

We went here on advice from our bus driver from Calama. My friend asked to see the room first, and she looked at the mattress, under the sheets and found a bed bug under the mattress. We walked out immediately. Don't stay here unless you want bed bugs!

Heaps of bathrooms which were constantly being cleaned. Spacious courtyard with chairs and hammocks. Helpful manager. Beds were particulary comfortable. Only complaint is that the communal kitchen facilities were tiny and there was only a handful of kitchen equipment and utensils.

If I remember well a double room was 20000 pesos, which for the San Pedro standards is low. We found it because we were walking around all fully booked hostels and they had a room from the next day on. We stayed a week and liked it.
Nice room, double with shared bathrooms (so-so). They have two computers with internet...

The garden area in the front is nicely set out with hammocks, tables and chairs to relax...

We enjoyed our stay at Eden. We stayed in a a basic, small room with a double bed and shared bathroom. The courtyard is very nice with hammocks and tables.
The shared bathrooms were great, brand new and immaculately clean. The water was heated by gas and very hot.
There was free wifi which worked well, and two computers to...

Stayed at this place as it was the only place who replied to my email. Young guy who checked me in was helpful and patient with my basic Spanish. The older lady was laughing and muttering about the "gringa" (me) when I sat outside my room for a long time aclimitising to the altitude the first morning. She also laughed...

Hostelria Eden De Atacameno has only two things going for it - they answered our email and had a room on offer when we needed it. This marked them out from the other 10 places we contacted in San Pedro de Atacama. Other than that it is terrible. It is very expensive, the staff are at best disinterested (and laughed...
